The Center for Penn State Ice and Climate Research integrates glaciology, seismology, modeling and climatology.

Their mission is to

The largest potential contribution to sea-level change is from the Greenland and Antarctic Ice Sheets. Penn State has premier researchers working on different aspects of this problem. The poles offer unprecedented opportunities for researchers in remote sensing, high energy physics, biology, atmospheric chemistry, etc. Penn State has premier researchers who haven't fully exploited available partnerships within PSU.

'Cutting Edge' PSICE Research Workshop has been scheduled for June 2-4, 2008
