EESI Centers
Center for Advanced Carbon-Cycle Research and Education
Director, Ken Davis
Center for Carbon-Cycle Science and Management was formed to facilitate research collaboration and graduate training on carbon-cycle science. The personnel are located in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, allied departments, and intercollege research programs across the University.
The center builds upon the considerable body of expertise on various elements of the carbon-cycle that exists within the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences and other Penn State colleges, most notably the College of Agricultural Sciences.
The goals of ACRE are:
- Promote interaction between faculty and students with the diverse expertise needed to address carbon-cycle science issues
- Act as a catalyst to engage the broader Penn State community and beyond
- Provide leadership in new areas of carbon-cycle research and education
