Time Magazine Recognizes Penn State Web Sites Among the “Greenest”
Real Climate, created by EESI Associate Michael Mann, has been singled out as one of the top 15 “green” Web sites by /Time Magazine/ in its recent “Special Environment” issue.
The magazine praises the site for its “straightforward presentation of the physical evidence for global warming,” noting that RealClimate excels in communicating science “with patience, precision and rigor, and, quite often, length….”
Mann, associate professor of meteorology, is the director of EESI’s Earth Systems Science Center.
ClimateEthics, created by the Rock Ethics Institute, also was recognized. Time notes that the site “is both sober and sobering, a mature, dispassionate look at how global warming changes the meaning of personal and aggregate right and wrong.”
